The Hospital of Central Connecticut earned 25 specialty awards according to new research released by Healthgrades. The Specialty Excellence Awards recognize superior performance in cardiac care, neurosciences, spine surgery, prostate surgeries, pulmonary and critical care.
Most notably, The Hospital of Central Connecticut was recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery and Critical Care and was named one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals for the third year in a row.

Each year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 21 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions. Their Specialty Excellence Awards recognize hospitals with superior performance in specific specialty lines and specialty focus areas, and indicate services where patients have a lower risk of complications.
