GoHealth Urgent Care, one of the nation’s fastest-growing urgent care companies, and Hartford HealthCare, Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network, today announced a joint-venture that will extend GoHealth Urgent Care’s proven model of convenient and consumer-focused urgent care centers to Central and Eastern Connecticut. This partnership will provide patients greater access to innovative high-quality care, where and when they need it most.
GoHealth Urgent Care and Hartford HealthCare plan to open up to 15 co-branded centers within an 18-month first phase of their relationship, beginning in spring 2017. Each Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care center will operate seven days a week with extended evening hours, welcome walk-in patients and offer the opportunity to “save your spot” through a simple online check-in. The centers will feature electrostatic “smart glass” procedure rooms, transparent charting on a wide screen in each exam room, mobile X-ray equipment and a unified electronic medical record that can be accessed by caregivers across the Hartford HealthCare network.
“We are thrilled to partner with Hartford HealthCare,” said Todd Latz, CEO of GoHealth Urgent Care. “Hartford HealthCare is a progressive organization, and their market is primed for our innovative, consumer focused urgent care model. Our collaboration will enhance HHC’s exceptional approach to care delivery and provide greater access to the area’s residents. We look forward to working together to offer an unparalleled urgent care experience facilitated by best in class providers, seamless integration and cutting-edge technology solutions that put patients first.”
The joint venture will pair GoHealth Urgent Care’s industry-leading patient satisfaction ratings, technological advancements and award-winning center and website designs with Hartford HealthCare’s high-quality, fully integrated acute and ambulatory health services.
“This partnership will revolutionize the way urgent care is provided in Connecticut,” said Jeffrey Flaks, president and chief operating officer of Hartford HealthCare. “We selected GoHealth Urgent Care because of their proven ability to provide effortless access to care; their focus on delivering exceptional, high-quality service; and their reputation for developing modern, customer-friendly facilities. This partnership heralds a new era of more efficient, cost-effective urgent care to patients we serve in Connecticut.”
GoHealth Urgent Care is currently one of the 10 largest urgent care companies in the U.S., and is rapidly expanding its patient-focused centers to markets across the country. GoHealth Urgent Care more than doubled in size in 2016 and is poised for even greater growth in 2017. In addition, GoHealth Urgent Care will continue its focus on delivering industry-changing healthcare innovation, from pioneering partnerships — such as its Uber partnership — to new patient-first initiatives and offerings.
