Trinity College is strengthening its existing partnership with Hartford HealthCare by adding access to comprehensive behavioral health services for students.
Beginning August 1, 2022, the college’s Counseling and Wellness Center will join this partnership, increasing the well-being and health of Trinity students through expanded access to a coordinated system of high-quality care and resources.
Since 2019, Trinity has partnered with Hartford HealthCare to provide an array of healthcare services through its Health Center, as well as sports medicine and athletic training services.
Now, students will have access to a full range of counseling and psychological services, including early intervention services for substance abuse, depression and anxiety; workshops to build skills in navigating day-to-day challenges, relationships and self-care; and specialized referrals within Hartford HealthCare.
Ralph Dodd, PsyD, regional director of collegiate counseling for the Hartford area and a long-time clinician with the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network (BHN) at the Institute of Living (IOL), oversees counseling provided at universities partnered with Hartford HealthCare through CampusCare, including Quinnipiac University and Trinity College.
“I am really excited to be working directly with this beautiful institution that offers so much to its students. Trinity has taken initiative to welcome diversity to their campus and increase the mental health resources available,” Dr. Dodd said.
