The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Auxiliary is featuring the photography of Linda Sardilli now through early May in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view and buy the works through the Charlotte Gift Shop as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. Proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Born in Vermont, Linda developed a love of beautiful landscapes, vintage barns and quiet corners. It became her passion, even as a teenager, when she moved to Connecticut. Photography gives Linda the opportunity to bring attention to subjects and scenes that otherwise may go unnoticed. She tries to create a Cinderella-story in each of her photographs. A rusty, forgotten truck can still be pleasing to the eye with its aqua patina. Likewise, a blade of grass can be given the prominence of royalty in its flowing lines and rich color. The purpose of her photography is to share her visions. She likes to tell stories that create interest and form an intimate bond with the viewer. Linda has won several Scholastic Art awards and had her work exhibited at Trinity College and The University of Hartford.
